What it is: 2002 Triumph Bonneville motor with 2 35mm Mikuni Flat Side Pumper carbs, 4130 Cromemoly TIG welded frame with 46mm KX500 Forks (10.7" travel), Rear single shock CR500 (10.8" travel). Hand made Aluminum 5+ Gallon tank. & Side panels, Two sets of wheels, street & Dirt on Excell rims (have their own sprockets & rotors), Scotts Steering Stabilser, ICO Speedo, hand made High pipes with Jardine mufflers. Renthal Bars.

Reader Ride. 1972 Hodaka Prototype Wombat 125

Randy Martin sends in some pics of this very cool Hodaka Restoration.

A good friend of mine ( Boyd Thomure ) introduced me to your website and I think it is great. I have already spent too much time on it and want to see more.
I have spent the last year restoring a 1972 Hodaka Wombat as a replica of the original Prototype Red Wombat. When Hodaka built the Wombat and had it ready for a show they only had Red Paint in stock at the time, so the first bike was done in "Hodaka Red" Paint. All other Wombats after that were finished in Black.
When I was 14 years old my very first bike in 1973 was a Hodaka so this has lots of memories for me and my parents.

Macaroni lust... A Much More Modern Ducati

I haven't done a lot of modern stuff lately. Not sure why. Reading these pages you might get the idea that I'm a bit of a vintage snob which is not true at all. Exhibit "A" below.

Thanks to our official MPOTD roving reporter Mike Skelton for the find. I love that this pic shows that the bike is ridden for it's intended purpose and not just a show queen. I bet it''s a decent handler to boot. Hey Triumph how about a stripped down version for the general public! I imagine it's be a bit more practical with the sidepipe but I still like the dualies.

Farily Radical CB100 Custom From My Favorite Indonesian Builder!

Gifny Richata from Indonesia sends in his latest custom build.  See his first submittable HERE This bike is further proof that you don't need big CC engines to create something special. This may be the coolest CB100 on the planet. As an aside, you have a nice touch with the camera. Very well composed.

How are you doing? I always enjoy your motorcycle blog everyday!! Keep up the good stuff! :D..... Just in case you want to put my latest work....It's a 1976 Honda CB100. It's a low-budgeted project, nothing fancy but looks pretty good to me :) Only swapped the swing arm with a Honda GL200, added bigger tires, and a custom Commando-style tailpiece. Engine is bored up with a 200cc piston. And just put matt paints to get the raw look. I really don't know much about their bikes but this really well produced 2011 model line video has my interest.  Think I'll hit the trails this weekend.
